I am really lazy when it comes to taking care of my face. But because I have mature and VERY sensitive skin, I do have to pay attention! Friends ask what I do to keep my skin looking good. So, here is my routine:
1) Remove eye make-up with Coconut Oil 2) Wash my face with a very gentle, non-drying face wash 3) Go to bed 4) In the morning, shower, then apply Serum and Face Moisturizer And that is it (for me). A HINT: When I exercise, I immediately take a wet towel and wipe off my face. My face was getting irritated and I realized it was from the sweat (salt) on my face. ONE MORE HINT: Coconut Oil is solid so it needs to be melted down for easy use. I transfer a small amount into a small container and run it under hot water for a minute. And I just discovered that liquid Coconut Oil is available, though hard to find. I am now using this and it works perfectly. Did you know that Coconut Oil is wonderful for the skin? If you want to try this routine, I am offering a 10% discount on the Facial Care Products. And if you have trouble finding liquid Coconut Oil, let me know and I will make it available through Caryl B. caryl@carylb.com

A few years ago I was in New York and went to see an exhibit on Perfumes. I learned a lot.
Parfum is a mixture of fragrant essential oils or aroma compounds, fixatives and solvents. Modern Perfumery began in the late 19th Century with the commercial syntheses of aroma compounds which allowed for the composition of perfumes with smells previously unattainable solely from natural aromatics alone. So what does this all mean ? Because of the discovery of synthetically created fragrances we, today, have the luxury of such diversity . As far back as I can remember I have had VERY sensitive skin. After much trial and error I decided to do research to find personal care products that will really help and not irritate. After many failures I crafted a Hand Cream that really helps very dry skin and a soap that does not irritate and leaves my skin feeling soft . Soon after crafting these products my Grandson was born with very dry skin. I suggested that my Daughter use the soap and hand cream that I had formulated. These products have been a staple of his bath routine since... and a very popular staple of the Caryl B Line. He actually asks for them when Mom runs out.
So the next step was paying attention to my face. This was an extra challenge as everything was an irritant. So, after again, much trial and error I formulated an all natural, fragrance-free SERUM, FACE CREAM, FACE WASH AND EXFOLIANT that works so well, people have comment on my skin and want to know what I use. I started to give them samples to try. And as the saying goes... the rest is history. |
